It sure is hard to change the color of the ball the "correct" way (tossing up in air). After being frustrated
for a few and happy hour calling I looked for a new way, The way I found is to drag the mouse off of the "play area" to the right (or left). This will leave at least half of the ball still in the play area. Now the mouse is not attached to the ball and you can "sneak" up on the ball from the side and click it as soon as the mouse enters the play area.
