Her send is working if mutual friends are receiving the same message (assuming you are one of many on the 'To' list).
Since her send is working the problem is probably on the receive side (you). Just because you checked your spam and blocked list doesn't mean the problem isn't your provider. For example our e-mail provider has a quarantine list that we don't even see. This first level of security is intended to remove mail from known bad domains etc, they don't even send it to junk/spam. I've had people call me and ask 'did you get my e-mail?'. I ended up finding the e-mail on the quarantine list (I had to ask my provider to investigate) and then did a white-list on the exact e-mail address of the sender.
