Use a multiplier of 3x ?
My initial thought (for an average golfer) would be to take the yardage for that course and multiple it by 2 or 3 (probably closer to 3), remembering to add the walking steps between the green to the next tee.
So if an Exec. Course hole is (say), 150 yds. per hole x multiplier of 3 = 450 yards.
450 x 9 holes = 4,050 yards.
If a step = 1 yard, then walking an Exec. Course would be 4,050 steps.
But that seems too low.
Any suggestions to my original question?
