Default Oil changes
Most manufactors list two schedules for changing oil and filters. 1, Normal
service, ordinary trips (more than 15 minutes). 2, Severe service, short trips, stop and go traffic, weather. Living here in Florida and TV with all the stop and go traffic, short trips, dust, etc., is considered in my manual as severe service, change at 3 months or 3000 miles whichever comes first. I have done this for years as I have lived in harsh climates. Be sure to use the proper classification (i.e. SL, SG, CD, OE, etc)and weight of oil specified in the manuals whether it be regular, blended or synthetic type.

As for my golf cart, I change every 40 to 50 hours including filter. I also change the fuel filters at the same time.
