You made the right decision not telling that lawyer about his fashion mistake. You were having breakfast, right? The lawyer was probably heading over to court right after breakfast.
Just think, if you had mentioned his fashion faux pas the lawyer would surely feel self-conscious about his appearance. During his vigorous defense of an innocent man charged with a heinous crime, the lawyer would surely remove his jacket thereby revealing his embarrassing situation. Immediately, he would realize his suspenders and belt were showing all at the same time
and would begin to fumble his words. In fact, he may forget his speech and points of law to defend his innocent client in his distracted state. The opposing attorney would take advantage of his flustered, inadequate speech and zero in for the kill.
The innocent man would surely be convicted of a crime he did not commit.
So, Boomer, by NOT mentioning to him the problem of wearing the belt and suspenders together, you probably saved an innocent man's life.
For that you are truly to be admired!
