A Sansa Clip+ MP3 player has a non-replaceable battery (per the mfr). So if the battery goes belly-up, the device becomes a throwaway. However, I know that some have successfully managed to open the case and replace the
soldered in battery.........
'Planned obsolescence', perhaps?
