We also have a Patio Villa 2/BR 2/Bath, and for the occasional visitors that we get, it has plenty of room. We also have several friends that started with a 3 bedroom but later "downsized" to a 2/BR because they didn't use the 3rd bedroom that much, and the 2/BR was easier to keep up and clean.
Having said that, it's quite a personal preference. If you anticipate having a lot of visitors, you might suggest that they first check out the Lifestyle Preview option. Then if they want to stay longer at a later date, monthly rentals are available. That way you get to visit with your friends without having to provide a place for them to stay.
