You may want to check out Spruce Creek south, just near The Villages. They have a webpage at:

We have friends there - quite a few clubs and things to do, although nowhere near the scale of The Villages, a decent golf course. I suspect their golf rates are cheaper than TV, you can call and check on their membership rates. Good luck!
