Today I had a scary experience at the Palmer Gator Pond. About 7:00 PM I stopped to check out the Gators as people were watching the pond. There was a large Gator swimming around. He swam over to a second Gator near the edge of the pond. Suddenly one of the Gators leaped from the water to the shore and started toward the road where we were standing. The second Gator leaped out of the water chasing the first Gator. (At this point I was running for my golf cart).

I can now testify first hand that Gators are darn fast! Luckily the Gator being pursued turned and dove back into the water, followed quickly by the second Gator. (Of course it is mating season).

I had to go to Urgent Care so they could take my heart out my mouth and stuff it back in my chest.
