Please do not subject you pets, feline or canine etc., to becoming "cargo" in the baggage hold of an airplane. There are so many deaths because of this practice. Most of these deaths (and severe suffering) are not public knowledge.

Just don't. Not a good idea.

If you must fly, take your cat(s) in an airline approved under-the-seat pet carrier so the cat will be comfortable. There is usually a $50 fee.

With our cat, we used a large wire crate meant for a dog, so the cat had plenty of room to move around. Inside the crate, we placed a soft bed, food & water. We also elevated the crate so the cat could see outside. (That helps stop car sickness). He was fine all the way from Alabama to Florida.
