Most of us do our outdoor activities early in the morning or in the evening. During the heat of the day we find indoor activities at the rec centers, our homes, etc. No question that during the heat of the day we go from vehicle to air conditioning as soon as possible, but very few are housebound in the summer. Pickleball still happens. Golf abounds. Walkers, joggers and bicyclists are out and about. Rec centers have all kinds of activities.
It does get hot but it's really the humidity that's the killer. I still haven't adjusted to it. Probably never will, but if I can cope, most of us can. Have no fear, you won't be stuck at home staring at your walls or the boob tube unless you want to.
