I moved here from the Maryland 'burbs of Washington DC. I have gone through a couple of summers here in The Villages. It does get hot here but it is hotter and more humid in the suburbs of Washington DC. Another great feature of The Villages is the very good air quality as compared to the Washington DC area. Back there we had Code Orange and Code Red days for air quality based on the amounts of carbon monoxide and other pollutants in the air. Combine a Code Red air quality day with 97 degrees of heat and humidity in the 90's and it was downright miserable. That happened frequently in the summer.
