1. I think Naima Adedapo is underated. I thought her reggae version of "I'm Still Standing" was excellent. Maybe her best performance yet. Loved the way she rolled the lyrics around in her mouth with that Caribbean accent. The judges often suggest the contestants make a song their own. No one did that better than Naima. Still they dis her.

2. I'm not a big fan of the quirky "Rod Stewart-ish" (good catch Collie) Paul McDonald, but my wife loves him and Rod Stewart.

3. Jacob Lusk has a huge voice, but I don't like the way he's been using it of late. He keeps losing me, but the judges think he walks on water.

4. Lauren Alaina has a fine voice, but doesn't connect with me and I get bored before her song ends. Again, my wife thought her excellent.

5. Thia Megia is a doll, and she has excellent tonal qualities to her voice. She had a very good performance with "Daniel". I don't know if she's connecting with enough people, though. My Filipino daughter-in-law and her huge family loves her.

6. Stefano Langone doesn't have enough charisma or talent in my book to be a top shelf performing artist. He would be great in the gazebo at Lake Sumter Landing, but the next American Idol. Well, not yet anyway.

7. Casey Abrams redeemed himself with his lovely version of "Your Song". I don't think the judges should have saved him though. I guess it'll all work out in the end.

8. Pia Toscano of Queens NY is a big fave of my family up north. This week she had an excellent performance and didn't go over the top like she often does. She has a real shot to be the next American Idol.

9. Haley Reinhart had a timely great performance. She's a singer with a quirky style that appeals to me. She could last a few more rounds if she keeps it up.

10. Scotty McCreery knows who he is and performs to his strength every week. He's got a big career in country music no matter how this competitions turns out. Another nice performance.

11. James Durbin's is getting carried away with himself as Adam Lambert did last year. He's got tons of talent, but I didn't think his performance of "Saturday's All Right For Fighting" was great for him. But he's definitely here to the top 5.

Bottom Three? Up to me it would be Paul McDonald, Thia Megia and Stefano Langone
