I'm sorry, I should have asked you how big the area is that you want to cover!
It may well BE 14 x14 feet.... that would make a difference in what to choose!

Try looking at the various 'Riverview Florida Friendly Plant Selections. (online)
They have some neat ideas. Some varieties are available in a "saus-edge" form... easy way to get fast coverage.
