I still like AI, but there are two problems with the show that may end up being its downfall. One is the judges, who aren't doing anyone, audience or contestants, any favors. Fawning over every contestant just doesn't cut it . I'll say it again, they need another Simon Cowell (but I have to admit that Tyler and J-Lo are a lot more interesting than Ellen or Kara ever were). The second problem is that fact that the majority of voters are young girls, who tend to vote for the "cute guys" which is a big disadvantage to the female contestants. Pia was the fifth girl in a row eliminated this season. It will take an awful lot of talent to overcome the built in bias of the young girl voters.
