You have to consider all the factors in a successful performer. Talent is a big one, I'll grant you that. Just as important is charisma. You either have that or you don't. There are plenty of successful performers who parlay their charisma into successful careers with little actual singing talent. Last show's guest star Iggy Pop is a great example.
