We'll see how it all pans out in the next election cycle. All the governors mentioned were elected because most people understood that government had to trimmed down and costs cut to enable their states to get back to some sort of responsible spending.
It seems some people only think that programs that matter to other people are the programs that need to be trimmed and not the programs they themselves favor.
The first step in educating the electorate was fairly successful, in that legislators who preached conservative fiscal agendas were elected, by and large. Now the next faze of the education is being enacted, and that is impact of the reality of government going on this much needed diet.
Once the results become evident, if allowed to progress in the face of a hostile mainstream media and and the howling union and socialist activists, the people will see their house coming into order. They should then have their original convictions on their hopes for the future reinvigorated with the positive economic effects of a smaller government and be less likely to be swayed by the socialist "bomb throwers".
