Most people (with any sense) avoid them. Can't imagine the golfer mentioned in a previous post dragging a gator by the tail anywhere. We have snakes and even an occasional alligator at our golf course here in Montgomery. The course is next to a river and gets an occasional gator when the river floods. One day I killed a small 8-inch snake on a tee box with a 6-iron and ignored the 4-footer that was on the back of the tee box.

When we get to TV, the rule will be CAUTION, especially in Spring when snakes come out to sun. Will educate myself on the habits and times that gators are active.
