Having lost my wife of some 41 years almost 11 years ago, it's beginning to be harder to remember how we managed so long! But, we laughed a lot, both at and about each other. Our hard times were usually overcome with thoughts and remembrances of our good times.
I've always liked this: On the morning of their 60th anniversary, my sister-in-law looked at her husband (my brother) and told him, "I hope you realize that you're still on trial!"
They're working on #64; I think he's still under probation!
