I understand most married men get smart and find out that the talent/humor they had some how has been transfered to the wife and you no longer know how to be funny nor have any talent...

Maybe . . . in the cases you have noticed, the wife admires those talents and traits in her husband, and tries to imitate. Then, when her imitation fails, and the husband is rewarded by laughter and praise from others, she is irritated. She would be better adhering to the phrase "Always Be Yourself" as I'm sure that the wife has many talents of her own, but may be too insecure to see them in herself. Perhaps the husband should work on helping the wife overcome some insecurities.
Just maybe . . .
