If the golf course is private, isn't everyones yard?

Hubby and I just moved in and were unaware that we were not allowed to walk on the paths on the golf courses in the evening when no one was playing. Twice we took a nice walk on the paths on the executive course that runs through Hadley and the funny thing was that we passed people sitting on their lanai's who waved at us, said hello and commented what a nice evening it was. I wish they would have told us we were not supposed to be walking there. Maybe larger signs indicating that only those playing golf are allowed on the paths at any time are warranted. We will make sure to stay off the paths in the future. Thanks for the heads-up!
