Don't worry about these dog "haters" at all. It is not dogs that they hate, it is the people who let the dogs run loose! All dogs must be leashed in The Villages. So when dogs run loose and leave little/big droppings along the way, it is not appreciated, and that's what everyone is complaining about.
Just like any place on earth, there are some folks who don't like animals, or are afraid of animals. But here in The Villages, the majority of people are animal and dog LOVERS! So, please don't let these complaints sway your decision. Come for a visit with your dogs and you will see for yourself that this place is paradise for all of us dog lovers.
