I have a wonderful labrador that goes everywhere with my wife and I -sounds like we would make half of the residents of the Villages mad everytime we would step out out our door.

For me, anyplace that doesn't love dogs cannot be paradise. Glad I read this post before giving serious consideration to a purchase.
You will find a number of threads get "lots of comments". Even though we won't be at TV for another 18 months or so, I know that my dogs will be welcomed, because we are responsible owners, keep our dogs under control and abide by the rules (every city has rules). As another post stated, don't judge TV by any angry posts here. You, and your lab, will be welcomed. It is always the few people who chose not to follow the well publicized rules that gets the majority upset. It is "paradise" because of well defined rules and the vast majority of the 79,000 residents who make it that way.

The permanent residents didn't adopt the term "frogs" to be cute. I too will only leave TV when I "crock"!!!

Come join a beautiful, well maintained community of happy people from across America and a few foreign countries as well. It is truly a melting pot of people from all walks of life and all economic levels with only one goal - enjoy life to the fullest, make great friends and neighbors and who enjoy living in "DisneyWorld for Adults"!!
