I looked at the wiring diagram for our Yamaha but it is only a schematic - it doesn't indicate where the alarm/buzzer is located. I believe the wiring harness for it runs off the backside of the forward/reverse lever so potentially the alarm's located close to that. The only other probable location would be underneath the cup holders.
Another way to find it: Locate a neighbor/friend who has a Yamaha cart of similar vintage. Have them put theirs in reverse (while the key's off - yes, the alarm will come on
) and hunt for where the sound's coming from.
Also, it might be worth a quick call to either the Villages Golf Car Store or Carts and Clubs (in Ocala) to see if one of their service techs can give you the quick answer.
