My uncle is has developed a case of singles and has macular degeneration, (can only see shadows), was going to be home alone. He can do some things but is limited.
I volunteered to stay with him and drive to the nursing home to see his wife of seventy four years. He is 98 and still looking to take care of her as best he could.
His son and is grand-children did not go to the nursing home to pay an Easter visit to their grandmother.
He and she couldn't be more thankful I did this for him but it was an act that I derived more pleasure than he did.
I not looking for bouquets to be thrown at me because this is what you do for your family. It is the right thing to do. I derived great stisfaction seing my second mother and father happy for that day.

Feel this hug. The good things you have done will return to you ten fold. There is another person on this forum who sees her aunt every day in the nursing home. She is a treasure too. You both are reminders to us that kindness is the very best gift.
Lucky to be in the same town with the both of you!!!
Thank you for being you.
