My point is that we're using more plastic to recycle. The jury is still out as to whether on not recycling is better for the environment. People tend to wash items out with either hot or cold water, a separate gas guzzling truck picks them up and then it takes a factory to actually recycle them. We're better off trying not to buy items packaged in plastic.
