When you come to The Villages to look at pre-owned homes, definitely use a Villages Realty agent AND an agent from outside The Villages. The reason for this is that Villages Properties can only show homes listed with Villages Properties and cannot show homes listed on Multiple Listing Service (MLS). The outside agents can only show homes listed on MLS.
Use an agent from Realty Executives, Tom Grizzard/ERA, or REMAX as well as your choice from The Villages.
You are wise to look at resales instead of new. Much lower bond in most cases is very important. You can also negotiate price on a resale.
