We met with one of the other people there. From our experience it seemed like this organization was not a diverse financial advisory company that would tailor a plan for each individual circimstance, but rather a firm whose only product is indexed annuities since that was all that was shown to us. It's easy to paint this product as a safe investment, but when you look a little deeper they may not be right for you.
Our dealings with the individual were initially very friendly, cordial and no pressure. However, when I concluded that we were not interested in fixed annuities, the person became very high pressure. If you want fixed annuities, they may be OK to deal with. However, if you are looking for a diverse portfolio and associated guidance, I would tread carefully.
