Brings back memories of my early teen years when I had a job (yes at 16) helping deliver bread (Mrs Baird's) early Saturday mornings (think 3 AM). The bread was baked in Houston and came to my town via trailer truck about 2AM. The company had rented warehouse space in the back of a local bakery. Every Saturday morning I would walk into the bakery, before I left with my deliveries, to see what was being made. The good bakers would always offer a few fresh dounuts right off the production line just after the icing was applied. Best dounuts I have ever had to this day. Melt in your mouth and still hot. People were so nice then. One of the coffee shops on my delivery schedule would always offer a free breakfast when I dropped off their order.
