I was at a neighborhood meeting where the Lt. spoke and, if memory serves (and it may not), the rationale for NOT using seat belts in a GOLF CART, was that many/most GOLF CART accidents involve a ROLLOVER of the GOLF CART and, if you were using a seat belt, you would be crushed ... I have an LSV with seatbelts and use them all the time for the reasons expressed in this thread ...
