I recently sat in a meeting with our HR rep, our immigration specialist, another manager and an Egyptian veterinarian. This lovely Egyptian lady is desperately seeking a job and work visa in order to keep herself, husband and their two small children in the USA. Her husband had a visa to work as a professor and she has one to be a student. Their time is up and since they are Christians, they are in fear of their lives if they return to Egypt. Everyone in that room wants to help her, and we listened to her talk about the doors that have failed to open and then listened to our immigration person explain the impossible hoops she could never jump through-not to mention the immense amount of money. I walked out and thought to myself that it just isn't fair. We have hundreds/thousands of illegal or undocumented immigrants freely pouring over our southern border...someone owes this honest, hard working, intelligent Egyptian family an apology!
