Everyone in that room wants to help her, and we listened to her talk about the doors that have failed to open and then listened to our immigration person explain the impossible hoops she could never jump through-not to mention the immense amount of money. I walked out and thought to myself that it just isn't fair. We have hundreds/thousands of illegal or undocumented immigrants freely pouring over our southern border...someone owes this honest, hard working, intelligent Egyptian family an apology!
I think the U.S. should seriously consider offering asylum to any Christian family caught in the hell of Islamic radicalism. The same way we accept the Cubans fleeing from their oppression we should accept the Coptic Christians of Egypt and other Islamist dominated cultures. (without the "wet foot", "dry foot" rule, of course)

I have a good friend back in NJ who floated over here with his mother and 2 uncles from Cuba, long ago. There are not more proud and appreciative Americans in the whole country as this man and his family. The way he speaks about our country would shame many of us native borns. I think we would get the same loyalty from the Coptic Christians we rescued..
