Salybow answers for me. I did wear a dress (this super comfortable black "traveler" dress I got on sale at Chico's) for one dinner on a cruise - as "formal" as I got, and sandals with 2 inch heels for a few hours. That is the only dress I have worn in at least 1 year, although I did wear a skirt once or twice with flat sandals.

I'm another "heel hater" and consider them torture - but I have never won fashion awards and never will. And, I have to say, I admire what looks comfortable AND stylish, and just shake my head (hopefully to myself) when I see what I perceive to be uncomfortable clothes and shoes.

But you know, to each his own (or her own, in this case).
