What I mean is look around at the centers and see the number of people enjoying things like Pickleball, swimming laps, playing water volleyball, walking around their block for exercise, biking, golfing, line dancing in the square, etc. etc. Best way to do this is to rent a golf cart and just drive.

You'll get a feel for the place and see if it is somewhere you'd enjoying being a part of.
