Default Pods

We moved via PODS from eastern NC in April/May. It was a little dicey getting the 16' POD delivered to our house as the franchise was 65 miles from us and their specially equipped delivery truck was a Japanese brand and needed a part and it was soon after the Japanese tsunami and the part was no! t available. After a couple of days they borrowed a truck from another location and brought our POD. Took us about 3 days to fill it up and it was on it's way to TV while we had to kill a couple of weeks before our move in date here. We only brought a few pieces of furniture and a LOT of plastic "tubs" with all of our "stuff". I loved that it had clothing rods built-in and we just hung our closet stuff on the 2 rods. They delivered our POD in TV on time on a Friday and came back and picked it up on Monday giving us ample time to empty it. Our move was approximately 900 miles and wound up costing around $2700 which included $250 extra for bringing the POD 65 miles from their nearest location. Other than the couple of days delay in getting the POD to us in the beginning, everything went smooth and if we were to move again would use them again. The big PLUS is the time you have to pack and unpack! They give you about 30 days from delivery to pick up and that was a real luxury for us!!
