Default Can't See Much Sense...

I can't see much sense in wasting any more time in discussing our government, the issues we face and possible solutions here in this forum.

Very simply we have no government, we have no leadership, we have no one representing us in Washington who is willing or able to legislate for the benefit of the majority of Americans. All we have are people elected to 535 very attractive jobs who spend virtually all their time campaigning for their re-election. We have ideologs and demagogs split widely apart on the fringes of their often narrow political beliefs, unwilling to compromise or even negotiate. Virtually none of them have accepted the responsibility for governing the country for the benefit of all the people. They often seem more than willing to sacrifice the well-being of the country for their own political gain. Representatives elected from both political parties are able to act that way because they are paid to do so by wealthy special interests. Virtually none of them truly represents the average working American. They say they do but it's the old story--watch what they do (or don't so), not what they say.

So until there is some new evidence of change, I can't see much sense in wasting any more time "talking politics" here in this forum. Frankly, there isn't any more willingness among the participants here to seek and explore workable and mutually acceptable solutions to issues than there is in Congress. Many seem only capable of mounting shallow, ideological arguments, remaining steadfastly ignorant of the facts of rapidly moving situations. Sadly, if how we act here is at all representative of the American electorate at large, our collective future is far from assured.

'Bye.
