Very simply we have no government, we have no leadership, we have no one representing us in Washington who is willing or able to legislate for the benefit of the majority of Americans. All we have are people elected to 535 very attractive jobs who spend virtually all their time campaigning for their re-election. We have ideologs and demigogs split widely apart in their personal beliefs. Virtually none of them have accepted the responsibility for governing the country for the benefit of all the people. Representatives elected from both political parties are able to act that way because they are paid to do so by wealthy special interests. Virtually none of them truly represents the average working American. They say they do but it's the old story--watch what they do (or don't so), not what they say.
So until there is some new evidence of change, I can't see much sense in wasting any more time "talking politics" here. Frankly, there isn't any more willingness to seek and explore workable and mutually acceptable solutions to issues here than there is in Congress. Sadly, if how we act here is at all representative of the American electorate at large, our collective future is far from assured.

I follow this forum but rarely post here. Your post deserves a response. It is unfortunate but you are absolutely correct. VK.
The only statement you made that I am concerned with is "Bye". I would hope you reconsider. I consider your posts some of the few voices of reason here.
