Went thru the process with a patent attorney and it was long and grueling and always needed more money. I gave up on it in the end due to the cost and aggravation. Not worth it unless you are 100% sure the idea or item would sell and be profitable. You got to also look at cost to manufacture and market. Advertising cost can break you.
