Republicans dig their heels in and won't budge on tax increases for the wealthiest 1-2 percent, justifying their resistance by claiming you don't tax the job creators. That is such BS. If we've learned one thing it's that trickle down doesn't work. If we just returned to the tax rates for the wealthy that were in effect under Clinton, it would, when combined with the spending cuts proposed by the president, solve our long term budget issues.
