Think about it. How many stores to do go to where you have to walk through a maze of impulse-item displays before you get to the check-out register. Grocery stores have always had impulse items at checkout, but now stores have a literal maze of items you have to walk through to check out.
Needing an appointment with the Design Center to get the 4 percent discount is like that too. Look at and discuss with our professionals every single upgrade available for your home and you'll get a four percent discount. I wonder how many people who make those appointments with the Design Center leave spending more rather than less than they expected before they got their discount.
I'm not knocking it. It's good marketing. And you are getting somethign of value for your money.
But understanding the game before you go in could save you some dough.

I hope others don't get confused because of the negative attitude of your comments. You can't build a home in TV WITHOUT using the design center to pick out your various color choices at the minimum. Its a FREE service and you get to walk into a model home that has the color of the counter top you're picking out etc. Here is the link to understanding this very simple concept

If, because of the discount, they take the tile option for $1200, or stretch their garage two feet for the same price when they might not have before, what business is that of yours. I think TV is doing something good not bad.
That said, those that did not get the discount shouldn't begrudge those that will. Be happy for them instead.
