Imagine the social safety net under President Rand Paul...now don't blink! If the social safety net had it's funding slashed and started to fail is that the fault of the safety net or the natural result of Mr. Paul's election? To blame it on the safety net is an incorrect inference.

The model of a successful single payer system is France. Check WHO statitics. It's cheaper than our system on a per capita basis, everyone is covered, it offers cutting edge technology (when needed), and the French love it (and the French rarely love anything but themselves or a girlfriend on the side).
