They use lots of black silicone caulk around all the holes they cut. My wife was not very receptive to the idea before we had them installed (4), but now she is sold and tells everyone about them. We also had 2 solar attic fans installed. Don't know if they help, but I figured they couldn't hurt. It still gets hot in the attic and the garage, even with the access door open. The Solar Guys did our also.
