It's those hoodlums from Wildwood tryin' to steal things.

(Paranoia has set in. There was a lot of discussion awhile back about the new square being too close to Wildwood. I do not know of anyone from Wildwood who aren't just ordinary people like me. I like to go to Ace Hardware and the Tea Plantation and many other places in Wildwood. My attempt at humor was tongue in cheek)

AND to get this thread back on topic. Central Florida is the lightning capital of the U.S.

There is much discussion whether lightning rods help or attract. Surge protectors for the whole house are a good investment I am told. Village07 knows about them and will hopefully tell us.

Many homes have gas lines running through the roof. There have been many homes burnt to the ground here from lightning strikes. Thankfully, I have not heard of anyone who has been injured or killed here from lightning or resulting fire.

There is much discussion about what to do about it and a real lightning expert who has a column in the POA newspaper, who I hope will read this and share his information with those folks who haven't heard what is the best course of action.
