Inside my villa (poured concrete), on my iPhone4 with AT&T, I
turn off my 3G and my Blue Tooth prior to making a phone call. This enables me to get 1-1/2 to 2bars more. I have had a call dropped during conversation but not nearly like I used to.
One more thing, with the 3G disabled, you can use the web, email, etc. or talk on the phone,
but not at the same time. With 3G enabled, you can talk, surf the net, receive email etc.
simultaneously.
