LOL regarding the first post above. In our former neighborhood up north, every single issue of the homeowner association "news"letter began with scolding about "a certain" dog whose owners let it run freely, poopin' on their lawns. Every issue having this complaining "above the fold" is why when we'd get it, we said, "Oh, here's the latest Dog Poop Herald". The newsletter became a big joke because those who complained would not confront the dog owner directly...they kept reporting in the newsletter about "a certain dog", and everyone knew whose it was.
We have a small dog and she uses
our CYV yard to do her doooooty. If a person has a hunting dog that's big and needs running exercise often throughout the day--on acreage,
not a leash--I think it is really unfair to the dog to keep it cooped up in a small house (worse yet, an apartment), taking it for walks on a leash as its only chance to poop......on OTHER people's property.
Many large dog owners really should not have such a big dog that craves an open field in the great outdoors, IMHO.
