Interesting, your comparison. I was listening to a Republican "strategist" on Fox the other night--yes, yes, me watching Fox News!. I need to get some balance in my political fact-finding.

In any event, the strategist wrote off Perry with these words,"...Fred Thompson with hair."

I think Perry will appeal to the Christian conservatives, although he'll have to split that vote with Michelle Bachmann. But in total, they're not a big enough segment of the GOP base to pull off the nomination...in my opinion anyway.

I understand he's raising some money from Texas donors, but not too much beyond that. In the end, it's that old story...follow the money!
