I was sitting at my brand new Mac computer waiting for some friends to pick me up to go to a movie. I had never been in a chat room, so I looked for one that seemed safe enough...an over 50 one. I was 48 at the time, but what the heck, seemed close enough. I just listened for awhile and then someone posted something with an avatar of the cutest little boy I had ever seen. I asked him if that was his grandson, and he said no, it was him. We talked for awhile and I left to go with my friends. That was August 15th, 1997. We talked a lot more both online and on the phone. I wanted to wait until Thanksgiving to meet. He would have no part of that. He came out to California from Texas on September 17th and we were married on November 2nd, 1997. I had always said I did not ever want to get married..I had a great career, a nice house, lots of friends,etc. But when I met the hubs, I knew this was the one and we have never looked back!
