It is someone's job to retrieve the carts from the cart returns in the parking lots and bring them back to the store. It should not have to be their job to wander around the whole parking lot to retrieve one cart here and one cart there. I'm not saying to push your cart all the way back to the store. Please just put it where it belongs in the cart return rather than leaving it by your parking spot so it possibly rolls into someone's vehicle or in the middle of the empty parking spot next to you so that no one can park there. To me this is just being considerate of your fellow shopppers.

im sure it isnt the same where you shop, but at target stores the employees assigned to this function are also required to monitor the entire parking lot for carts and litter and anything that should be brought to mgmts attention. there job is an important function for the store. you will never find a target parking lot dirty or anything awry. also the lots are under camera surveillance.
