Hi pivo As you may have noticed, the interior garage space differs from model to model of house. As others have mentioned, most CYV's have a 1&1/2 car garage, and most can't be stretched later, so it is what it is.
In addition, some models have the laundry located in the garage, and that location can vary as well.

Almost all CYV's have a short, curved driveway. Depending on which side of the street you are on, the curve is either to the left or right. Typically, you can park one car on the drive if you like, but two won't fit. There will be very limited guest parking within your neighborhood compound, but we aren't allowed to claim and use it personally as additional garage space, and permanent on the street parking is not allowed.(It is a hazard)

Most everyone will offer suggestions on how they make the garage space work for them. I won't go through all that, except to say that things fit better than we thought they would.

What DID help before we even bought in TV, was to tape off the CYV garage measurements inside our existing garage up north.(From the model that we liked the best.) Having that visual helped us, not only to decide what we could function with as to vehicles, but also realize quickly what "stuff" HAD to be eliminated, and not dragged along. Basically, helped to let us wrap our heads around the whole garage concept and gave us time to think.

In the end, we chose a CYV because we really WANTED to downsize, live a simpler lifestyle, and have uncluttered surroundings. That's not heaven to everyone, but has been liberating to us. I found that we have adapted painlessly, and so far we don't miss anything we let go of.
That said, my hubby still has a motorcycle, air compressor, big ladder and tools.... just not thousands of them. We house the car and golf car too. (but our laundry is INSIDE.)
It really was great to eliminate BEFORE we moved.
If you come down on a lifestyle visit, you'll know SO much, that your choice will be easy. Listen to your gut. You'll make the choices perfect for you.
(and I just realized this topic is not a brand new post.... sorry!)
