It may not happen overnight and certainly won't happen if we give up. Wasn't it back in early 2007 right here in The Villages that several hundred good folks got together at Buffalo Ridge and spelled out Kohls with their golf carts??? There are lots of businesses in that strip from Five-Guys to Kohls that depend on Villager's to stay in business. Let's figure out a way to let them know how much better business would be if we could get there on our golf carts!

Texan is correct, but timing is always the key issue on political issues. Given today's political climate on spending, this would not be the time for making it happen. But, when the economy stabalizes, job growth occurs along with tax revenues, then we can approach local government and state officals with a proposal for crossing that street via golf cart. We have some outstanding local representation at the State and Federal level who could get it done.
The project would have to be done by a control point (Traffic Light) or bridge/tunnel. Big
$dollars$, but with tax incentive breaks, Green Grants, a developer could be pursuaded to make it happen. I think it would be a great move on their part and for TV.
